The best way to apply the Crackle Polish:
Paint on your choice of base color. One coat and let dry
Paint on the Crackle Coat. Make the crackle layer as thick as you want, for 1 coat coverage. For a nice result you can also split the nail in half and paint one side at a time. You need to work at a decent pace. The crackle coat dries fast.
The crackle coat will also dry matte. To bring out the shifts in the color you will need to make sure its completely dry before you apply your final TC. if it isn't, the crackle may wrinkle or stop the cracking process.
Always make sure when finished to wipe the bottle rim and remove any excess polish, secure tightly to avoid evaporation.
Also crackle will not crack on a naked nail or swatch.
